A taste of Brdy: an 11 km walk to Jindřichova skála viewpoint and Valdek castle
- This circular walk provides an attractive introduction to the Brdy highlands, entering the forested area for a section and visiting the interesting Jindřichova skála rock area, with its super viewpoint, returning via the romantic 13th century castle ruins of Vladek (currently closed to visitors).
- The route is entirely on easy paths (asphalt roads or wide forest tracks) and is navigable with a pushchair/buggy. Note: there are frequent signs warning about leaving the marked trails as this was formerly a military area
- The route involves 200 of easy ascents and descents on its 10.8 km length.
- There are no refreshment options on the route itself – apart from a natural spring – the nearest restaurant being 1 km from the car park, in Chaloupky village
