An easy circuit to the viewing towers overlooking the Moravian wine village of Zaječí: 6 km
- The Czechs have a long history of building viewing towers on top of their hills. The first great wave of building began at the end of the 19th century as part of the national revival tourist boom and the desire to showcase the Bohemian and Moravian natural landscape for hikers in hills. Today, the tower-building and refurbishment program continues apace. The website www.rozhlednovymrajem.cz currently lists 693 towers (as of August 2026) and quite a few of them have recently been constructed amongst the South Moravian vineyards, offering views over this unique landscape.
- In 2012, two towers were built on hills overlooking the wine village of Zaječí and they can be combined into a nice easy circular trip of around 6 km. As the trails on this route are mostly used by vineyard vehicles, this is a walk which can be managed with a stroller.
- Apart from its vineyards and wineries, Zaječí has a landmark church dedicated to St. John the Baptist. Rebuilt several times since its probable foundation at the beginning of the 13th century, this fine brick church dominates the skyline.
- Another Zaječí landmark is the Vinařství U Kapličky pension, which is essentially a stylish vineyard resort. Located below the first of the two viewing towers on this route – the Dalibor tower – the resort has a popular restaurant Restaurace Retro Gril U Kapličky, which is also open to non-residents (map point 3).

Directions
- From the center of the village, join the YELLOW trail heading towards U Kapličky. The resort is reached after 1.3 km
- The Dalibor viewing tower is situated 200m above the resort and is found by following the yellow diversion signs
- From the Kapličky resort continue on the YELLOW trail to reach the Přítlucká hora tower after 2.7 km
- From Přítlucká hora, take the GREEN trail directly back into Zaječí village
