*Tetín and the Berounka river from Beroun: a 14 km circular walk*
- A varied 14 km circular walk starting at Beroun train station, leading to the legendary medieval site of Tetín, through classic Český kras forest and limestone scenery, returning along an attractive section of the river Berounka
- Tetín village is located near the site of an early medieval (Slavik) fortress, believed to have been occupied by Saint Ludmila (c.860-921 AD), wife of the Přemyslid dynasty founder Bořivoj I. Ludmila and Bořivoj were the first Christian rulers of Bohemia. Ludmila was believed to have been murdered in Tetín castle, and she was canonized shortly after her death. The ruins of the 13th century fortress (built close to the site of the earlier Slavik fortifications) are still visible.
- The paths are good, mostly on wide forest tracks and asphalt paths. A total of 220m of height is gained/lost over the total route of 14.4km
- Refreshments should be available at Beroun railway station (at the start/finish of the walk) and in Srbsko (after 8km), particularly the Hotel and Restaurant U Berounky
