A short visit to the west Bohemian town of Poběžovice, with its intriguing chateau: 2 km
- If visiting the lovely Chodsko region centred on Domažlice, or heading to the Český les upland area for some hiking (or even cross country skiing in winter), it is worthwhile stopping briefly in the small town of Poběžovice.
- The main reason for visiting is to see what progress has been made with reconstructing the town´s (once) impressive chateau. It is a complicated project, but when complete will hopefully showcase one of west Bohemia’s most important Renaissance-Baroque monuments. A part of the chateau is open for tours during the summer months.
- There is a small adjoining chateau park to explore during the visit and, when done with walking around the chateau area, consider a stop at the recently refurbished and historic Hubertus hotel & restaurant (map point 4). The reconstruction has been beautifully done.

Directions
- Poběžovice is a small town and navigating to and around the chateau and park should not be a major challenge. The YELLOW hiking trail runs up the main street past the Hubertus hotel to the chateau and park area
