A circular walk to the Milada lookout tower from the Kamýk reservoir – 7 km
- There are many viewpoints overlooking the meandering river Vltava and the reservoirs that have been created over its length by multiple dams. One of the nicest is the Milada lookout tower located near the village of Přední Chlum, 2 km to the east of the Orlík dam. The tower has 9 floors and is open at weekends from April to October (every day in July and August). There is a bistro kiosk at the bottom of the tower, which has a grill, homemade cakes and good coffee. Even if visiting when the tower is not open the view from the bottom is still exceptional.
- For those without the time for a longer walk, there is a parking area just 300m below the tower. However, to justify indulging in the bistro, consider the following circular walk starting in Solenice village on the north side of the Kamýk reservoir, near the Orlík dam.
- The suggested route crosses the reservoir using the pedestrian bridge, runs alongside the reseroir for a short section and then climbs up to the viewpoint. The return route takes the path on the far side of the Krchov (489 m) hill towards the Orlík reservoir and crosses back over the pedestrian bridge to return to Solenice. This is a 7 km walk with 240m of height gained-lost on the journey.

Directions
- Start in Solenice village. There are regular buses here from Příbram, and for drivers there appears to be an area for parking just before the pedestrian bridge (it is not a marked parking area, however)
- Join the GREEN hiking trail and cross the reservoir on the pedestrian bridge
- Immediately after crossing the bridge, turn left and continue on the GREEN trail which runs alongside the reservoir for 900m and then climbs to the parking area below the viewing tower. This is reached in 3.1 km from the bridge
- Take the 300m track up to the tower and after climbing the tower, and visiting the kiosk, return back to the parking area
- From the parking area, stay on the GREEN trail for 200m, heading in the opposite direction from arrival and then turn right onto the RED trail which descends the hill gradually to reach the footbridge in 2.3km
- Cross the bridge to return back to Solenice village
