Frýdlantské cimbuří and Jizera peak from Josefův Důl – 24 km
- An excellent trip starting in Josefův Důl to visit the best granite outcrops in the Jizerské hory, climbing to Jizera peak (at 1122m the second highest peak in the Czech Jizerské hory) and then visiting the rocky viewpoints on Frýdlantské cimbuří. The route passes the Knajpa snack bar, which is a good option to stop for refreshments.
- There are various return routes available from Frýdlantské cimbuří depending on the length of trip desired. The route shown in the map is 24 km long and includes 800m of height difference.
- There is a popular snack bar at the Na Knejpě junction which can be accessed either on the outbound or return journey (or both!)

Directions
- Starting at the Josefův Důl – sklárna trail junction, next to the train station, follow the BLUE trail for 4.8 km to reach the Pod Čihadlem junction and there turn onto the RED trail in the direction of Smědava
- After 1.7 km pass (or stop at) the Knajpa snack bar and then continue for 900m to the Pod Jizerou junction. Here take the YELLOW trail to reach Jizerou peak in 1 km and then return back to Pod Jizerou junction
- Continue on the RED trail for 400m to reach Paulova paseka junction. Here turn left onto the YELLOW trail in the direction of Polední kameny
- Continue on the YELLOW trail for 3.4 km to reach the Frýdlantské cimbuří viewpoint
- Continue on the YELLOW trail for 400m to reach the Pod Frýdlanstkým cimbuřím junction. From here there are various return routes to Josefův Důl depending on the desired length of walk
- One option is to return back to Knejpy and use the outbound route but divert to Peklo using the RED trail. This gives a total 24 km route
