A short walk up to Borový vodopád, one of Jeseníky’s prettiest waterfalls: 6 km

• Borový vodopád is a multi-stage waterfall, with a main drop of over 8 meters. It is one of the prettiest waterfalls in the Jeseníky mountains and, situated just one kilometer off the access road leading up to the Dlouhé stráně reservoir, is relatively easily accessed. There are various pools that are frequently used by hikers looking to cool off on a warm summer’s day.
• The nearest public transport and parking spot is located at the start of the Dlouhé stráně access road. The walk up to the waterfall is easy for the first 2 km or so, and then more rugged in the final few hundred meters as the footpath weaves between (and over) large boulders. It is not, however, a particularly difficult or dangerous path. There is 180m of height to ascend-descend from the parking area-bus stop. There are no refreshments on the route – the nearest being in the Kouty ski area, 1.8 km down the road.

Directions

• Starting at the Kouty nad Desnou most bus stop-parking area, join the BLUE trail heading in the direction of the Pod Medvědí horou junction, which is reached after 2 km
• At the junction, turn off the main path, cross the river using the bridge and follow the blue diversion markers for 1 km to reach the waterfall
• Return back along the same path
