An easy 5 km walk along the Berounka river from Radotín to Černošice (with an optional 7 km return leg in the hills above the river)
- The cycle path along the meandering Berounka river, which starts at its confluence with the Vltava near Prague, is justly popular with cyclists, joggers and even the occasional roller-blader. For walkers, the nicest part of this first section of the river is the 5 km stretch between Radotín and Černošice.
- The easiest way to access this stretch of river is by train to Radotín (regular trains are from Prague’s main station) , with the option to catch the train back from Černošice. There is also a large Park & Ride car park in Radotín, next to the train station.
- The path is mostly a flat asphalt pavement that follows close to the river, and is suitable for walkers with buggies and baby-strollers. Only 13m of height is gained over the whole 5.4 km route.
- This is an excellent winter walk, when the river can be at its best, never obscured by trees or buildings, and sometimes with iced up sections.
- Apart from catching the train back from Černošice, walkers can return back along the same riverside route, or alternatively climb onto the terrace path on the hillside above the river, to complete a 12 km circular walk.
- Various refreshment options exist in Radotín and Černošice, including the cukrárna Hájek & Hájková, which is just across the main road near Černošice train station. There is also a microbrewery/restaurant in Radotín, the Pivovar Horymír (which serves excellent unfiltered beer) or try the Kavárna Pelíšek, serving good coffee and cakes.

Directions
- Starting at the Radotín railway station (either by taking the train, or using the Park & Ride car park), cross under the railway and head into the centre of town on Vrážská street
- After 600m reach Horymírovo náměstí, where the RED hiking trail is met
- Take the left hand fork of the RED trail, which leads after 150m to the Berounka river
- At the river, turn right onto the asphalt cycle path, and follow this riverside path for 4.5 km until reaching the footbridge over the Berounka, close to the Černošice train station
- At the footbridge, turn right onto the YELLOW trail, which leads after 150m to the railway station
- For the return journey to Radotín, instead of taking the train, or retracing steps along the river, there is an option to head into the hills above the north side of the river, to complete a 12km circular hike. If taking this option, follow the GREEN hiking path from Černošice train station, climbing to reach the Sulava signpost after 1.7km. At Sulava, turn right onto the RED trail, which follows the ridge for 3.5km before descending steeply to Radotín (note: this return leg is not suitable for buggies/baby-strollers)
