*The Modrava-Filipova Huť nature trail along the cascading Filipohuťský stream: 4 km*
- This is a short but pretty circular walk starting in the Šumava resort village of Modrava, heading towards Filipova Hut’ on a nature trail beside the lovely cascades on the Filipohuťský stream. The return route to Modrava follows a high meadow and forest trail.
- The ascent path is not steep but is quite rugged (lots of rocks and tree roots to navigate) and can be wet in places. The descent path, partly on an asphalt road and partly on a forest footpath, is easy. The whole route is less than 4 km long (and involves just over 100m of height to ascend/descend).
- There are various refreshment options in Modrava and a snack bar at the mid point on the route (map point 4). One place not to be missed if visiting Modrava is the brewery/restaurant Pivovar Lyer, serving good food and excellent beer (map point 5). There is a large summer terrace (which is often extremely full).

Directions
- Start the walk in the centre of Modrava (where the main bus stops are) and join the GREEN trail heading towards Filipova Hut’
- After 200m, pass the Apartment hotel Mádr and leave the GREEN trail to join the nature trail (marked with green-white diagonal stripes)
- The trail runs for 1.6 km before rejoining the main road heading towards Filipova Hut’
- Cross the road and take the GREEN trail which heads back to Modrava, initially on an access road and then forest footpath. Modrava center is reached after 1.5 km
