Following the old mill route along the Černý and Loděnice streams, starting in Unhošť: 18 km
- Unhošť is a small town situated 20 km to the west of Prague, with regular bus services from the city, and is quickly accessed by car from the D6 highway. It is a useful starting point for walks in the eastern section of the Křivoklátsko nature area.
- The area is well known for its ancient water mills that line the Loděnice (known locally as Kačák) and Černý streams. The streams merge and flow gently downhill to join the Berounka river. One popular and attractive walk follows the undulating paths along these streams from Unhošť to the village of Loděnice, where it is possible to catch a train back to Prague.
- This easy 18 km path is viable throughout the year and is particularly attractive in autumn (there is a variety of woodland along the route) and winter. Apart from a couple of restaurants at the start and finish (in Unhošť and Loděnice respectively) there are not many options for refreshments while on the route. There is, however, a (summer) snack bar at Nenačovice, after 14 km. In Loděnice, try the excellent Ve Století restaurant (map point 6) with its large outside terrace area.
- The trail is not difficult and does not have any significantly step sections, but it can get muddy during wet weather. The trail does undulate a bit, with 190m of height to gain and 320 m of height to lose on the 18 km route.
