An easy circuit in the countryside near Kácov, with a visit to the Hubertus brewery: 12 km
- Kácov is a small market town on the Sázava river in the Kutná Hora region of Central Bohemia. It has a significant Baroque chateau (currently undergoing refurbishment bz the town) and a historic brewery, first established in 1457. The brewery is one the oldest in the country and today produces beer under the Hubertus brand. The brewery can be visited and next door there is a classic pub for refreshments after taking an easy walk in the pleasant countryside surrounding Kácov.
- A good option for a pre-pub walk is the 12 km circular nature trail (with information boards in Czech) established to the east of Kácov. The trail is mostly on gravel tracks and can be managed with a stroller. The route involves just over 200m of ascent/descent on the easy trails.
- There is an option to divert from the main trail to visit an interesting rocky viewpoint, Čertova vyhlídka, directly overlooking a horseshoe bend in the river. However, this extension is best not attempted with a stroller.

Directions
- Kácov has bus connections with various towns in region, including the city of Kolín and is on a regional train line that runs beside the river. However, most visitors will probably visit by car. There are free parking areas off the main street
- From the main street, join the RED trail heading towards the Kácov – zast. junction
- After 400m at the Kácov – zast. junction, join the BLUE trail heading towards Koutský mlýn
- After 3.3 km reach the Koutský mlýn junction and here turn left onto the YELLOW trail heading towards Polipsy
- After 4 km reach the Pod hradištěm Polipsy junction. Here there is a choice whether to continue on the YELLOW trail for the shorter (easier) direct route back to Kácov, or take the longer (steeper) BLUE hiking trail which visits the Čertova vyhlídka before returning to the main trail by the river
- Both routes meet up at the Kácov train station. From here, follow the BLUE trail beside the river for 1.8 km until reaching the road bridge across the river
- Cross the bridge to return back to the town center and to visit the brewery
