Easy walks on the cycle trails near Průhonice park – 7 km to 12 km
- Průhonice park is one of the most attractive and popular locations for short walks anywhere in the vicinity of Prague. An excellent network of cycle paths also surrounds the park area, and these trails are equally accessible for walkers – several are quality asphalt trails and so are perfect for a fast walk with a stroller!
- One good route starts at the western edge of Průhonice park and follows the park wall before traversing the old village of Osnice. From Osnice is is possible to loop around the nearby pleasant forest, orchard and meadow area before returning through Kocanda village, back to the the Průhonice park area . This route is 11.6 km long with just 120m of height difference.
- The section from Osnice has a section on uneven forest trails, so for a fully stroller friendly route (of 7km total) it is possible to short cut from Osnice to Kocanda along a side street (referenced in the directions below) .
- In Kocanda, just by the main road, the outstanding Šabatovo ice cream parlor is located. This is one of the best in the Prague area, and definitely worth a visit.
- It is of course possible to combine this trip with a visit to Průhonice park itself. For a discussion of the walking options in the park see the separate page. If holding an annual pass to the park, with the electronic chip, then it is possible to enter and exit the park at several additional points on the park perimeter. This creates the opportunity to walk through the park , exit through one of the chip operated turn-styles on the southern edge of the park, visit Kocanda for an ice cream, and then return back to the park – a perfect outing!

There are also a few parking spots directly beside the wall of the park next to the U parku trail signpost. - At the Údolí Botiče sign, turn right onto the YELLOW trail in the direction of Jesenice
- Follow the YELLOW trail through the forest for 1.4 km until reaching the edge of the forest. At this point the YELLOW hiking trail meets to 8228 cycle trail at a cross roads. Turn right onto the cycle trail and follow this for 1.8 km back over the D0 ring road and into the village of Kocanda
- In Kocanda, cross the main road still following the 8228 cycle trail. Immediately on the other side of the road, next to the small car park, the Šabatovo ice cream parlor is located
